Free WiFi

WiFi is available free thanks to the Stichting Behoud Groene Hortus WiFi hotspot (Bezoekers Hortus) in the entrance hall  of the Hortus. You can access internet with your mobile phone, laptop or any other WiFi-ready device containing a wireless network card (802.11b, of 802.11g).

 

 

Conditions and Code of Conduct for use of the Stichting Behoud Groene Hortus WiFi guest network

1. Applicability

These conditions and the code of conduct apply to anyone who uses the Stichting Behoud Groene Hortus WiFi guest network.

2. Definitions

Use: Stichting Behoud Groene Hortus provides a free WiFi guest network for visitors for their personal, non-business use.

User: Users are anyone who uses the Stichting Behoud Groene Hortus WiFi guest network.

The Stichting Behoud Groene Hortus WiFi guest network: A wireless network via radio frenquencies which enables users to connect to internet without cables, and using their own devices.

3. Conditions

Stichting Behoud Groene Hortus offers no support to connect user devices. Where applicable, the rules of conduct as set out in the General Conditions of th Stichting Behoud Groene Hortus apply. Stichting Behoud Groene Hortus has the right to deny anyone the right to access the WiFi guest network. The use of the WiFi guest network is on the basis of fair use. This implies that there is no stated limit to sending or receiving data. However, Stichting Behoud Groene Hortus reserves the right to intervene in the case of excessive use. For this or any other reason, a user’s connection may be broken and the user may be suspended or banned from using the network. Stichting Behoud Groene Hortus is not responsible for any claims resulting from user activity.

4. Code of Conduct

The user agrees to abide by copyright law. The user agrees to refrain from uploading any material for which the copyright is not personally held. Stichting Behoud Groene Hortus does not accept responsibility for anything placed by a user on a server or on the internet; users are fully responsible for any information placed on a server or on the internet. The content and intent of text and images must in any case not be pornographic, discriminatory, or in any way objectionable or improper. The user is strictly forbidden to espouse inflammatory messages via the network, to incite violence or to engage in criminal activities or other malicious practices. Any such activities will be reported to the police for prosecution.

The user declares that the Stichting Behoud Groene Hortus will not be held responsible for disruption of the internet or the network, or of any loss of data or income due to technical or other disruptions.

The Stichting Behoud Groene Hortus is not liable for damages, in the broadest sense, affecting the user. In particular, Stichting Behoud Groene Hortus is not liable for damage due to content providers or due to interruptions in or blockages in access to the network or the internet by Stichting Behoud Groene Hortus or third parties, to defects in the security of the information stored by the user on any system, to actions of other customers or internet users, or changes in login procedure, account or e-mail address.

A user who violates his or her obligations under the code of conduct and general terms and conditions is liable to the Stichting Behoud Groene Hortus for all pursuant damages.

Stichting Behoud Groene Hortus reserves the right to change the general terms and conditions periodically, without prior notice. Terms and conditions should be checked periodically by the user for changes.

Stichting Behoud Groene Hortus undertakes to comply with the protection of personal data as laid down in the Regulations for the Stichting Behoud Groene Hortus.

Before being able to use the Stichting Behoud Groene Hortus WiFi service, the user must tacitly agree to the general terms and conditions and the code of conduct described above.

These Terms and Conditions/Code of Conduct and any disputes relating to this or to the use of the WiFi Guest Network of the Stichting Behoud Groene Hortus (SBGH) are subject to Dutch law.
